Saturday the 30th of May Dunfermline V Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final. Hampden was the venue for the match between the Glasgow giants and the team from the east coast. With a win for Dunfermline at Parkhead on Sunday May 02 2004 they might not be as easy to beat as everyone thinks. Half time score and Dunfermline are winning 1 - 0 until Henrik Larssen makes sure he has a winning send off in his last competive match for the Hoops. Final score Dunfermline 1 Celtic 3. Glasgow half marathon
FRESH ‘N’ LO the new sponsors of the Great Scottish Run for Sunday 22nd of August 2004 has options for everyone, whether you are a dedicated runner or just fancy getting in shape during the summer months. Following the successful formula of last year’s event, runners can again choose between a half marathon or a 10k. Again this year you will past some of the city’s most famous sights, and this year the first time ever the race will go over the Kingston Bridge on route to the finish at Glasgow Green. world pipe band championship
World Pipe Band Championship 2004 Keen competition from over two hundred pipe bands competing in the premier pipe band event of the season. The championships take place on Saturday the 14th of August 2004 in Glasgow. Also in August “Piping Hot”. Launching on Monday 9th August through to Sunday 15th August this festival will showcase Bagpipes and Piping in all it’s glory! .
